Things to See and Do around the Perisic Guesthouse
|
 |
The region offers magnificent excursion possibilities.
For instance, a walk through narrow streets in the old town center
of Split or a visit of an island in the Adriatic Sea.
-
Hiking to the mountain Perun
or to the "old" Podstrana, where you
can enjoy a splendid view over the Adriatic Sea.
-
You can visit Split,
the largest city in the region with the
Roman Diokletian's Palace which is named by UNESCO as a World Heritage
site, and enjoy its picturesque cafés, restaurants, museums, galleries
and shops. From the Perisic Guesthouse you can reach Split by local
busses which run every half-hour.
-
You can make an excursion to the picturesque small town Omis
on
the mouth of the river Cetina. An interesting destination
is also Trogir (a
World Heritage site) with a maze of medieval streets and outstanding examples
of medieval architecture. Or, how about the ruins of the ancient
city of Solin (Roman Salona), the
most important archaeological site in Croatia.
-
More time is needed if you want to visit some other sites on the
coast, for instance Sibenik and
Zadar
to the north of Split or
Makarska and Dubrovnik
to the south of Split. You might also want to visit some of the beautiful
islands like Brac,
Solta,
Hvar,
Korcula
or Vis.
